In October, Laramie County Community College Student Government Association prepared a Halloween Bash for all and made decisions concerning the health education coordinator. A survey concerning the renovation of the student lounge is being developed by a committee. SGA also approved the decision to allow a position on campus to change its requirements and focus. The dean of campus living and learning, Jenny Rigg, recommended SGA approve a decision to upgrade the position of health education coordinator to a licensed professional. The unfilled position is currently funded by student fees, but this upgrade would not increase fees. It would have the same salary but higher requirements for the applicants. The new coordinator would be able to refer students to a medical clinic. Also, if there were enough referrals, LCCC might be able to have a doctor or nurse on campus from the clinic. It would be set up as an offsite office for the practitioner.
